Easy Way to Install Kernel on All Xiaomi

Easy Way to Install Kernel on All Xiaomi

This time I will discuss how to install a custom kernel on all types of xiaomi, maybe it will be the same if you use other types of brand phones, but in this post I will only go deeper into all types of xiaomi phones.

But before we get to the point of this post, I will discuss the things that you must prepare first before installing the custom kernel that you are going to install.

The first one you have done UBL or Unlock Boot Loader, I will not give an explanation of how to UBL here maybe in another post, Next you have installed a custom recovery, you can use twrp or you can use Orange Fox custom recovery but this depends on your taste or that you have installed.

Next, of course, you have prepared a custom kernel file that you will install, if you have prepared everything above, you also need to know that you have made sure the type of custom kernel and custom rom are appropriate because this will cause a bootloop or softbrick if you do not install a custom kernel that does not work. according to the type of rom that you will use.

So hopefully you have understood all the provisions that I have explained above.

Flash Kernel - Make sure the kernel is system compliant (AOSP/MIUI, Permissive/Enforcing)

1. Enter custom recovery

2. Enter the lockscreen password if prompted

3. Enter the backup menu, check boot and dtbo, then backup

4. Enter the wipe menu

5. Wipe cache and dalvik only

6. Flash the desired kernel

7. Wipe dalvik cache

8. Reboot the system

9. If the bootloop/logo stuck, hold down power+vol up

10. Enter custom recovery again

11. Enter lockscreen password if prompted

12. Wipe cache and dalvik only

13. Enter the backup and restore menu, restore the backup that was made in step number 3

If there is a problem that you encounter if the notification fails on the one that appears or the red text, it could be that the file you downloaded earlier is corrupt or not appropriate. Remember that step number three is to back up the default ROM kernel you are using, because if you think the custom kernel is lacking satisfying the performance then you can reuse the stock kernel from your default rom, but it can also be used when the custom kernel is not as good as what you installed and only stops at the xiaomi login, it will be very young because we still have the stock kernel file.
